Plagiarism, whether intentional or unintentional, constitutes serious publication misconduct. It includes presenting another person's ideas, text, data, images, tables, or other intellectual or creative material as one's own without appropriate attribution.

All manuscripts submitted to IJEEDU are screened using similarity-detection software, such as Turnitin or iThenticate, as part of the editorial assessment process. Similarity reports are evaluated by the editorial team because a numerical similarity score alone does not establish whether plagiarism has occurred.

As an internal screening criterion, manuscripts are generally expected to have an overall similarity score below 20%, with no more than 5% similarity attributable to a single source, subject to editorial assessment of properly quoted, cited, methodological, or otherwise legitimate textual overlap. Manuscripts containing inappropriate unattributed overlap may be returned for revision, rejected, corrected, or retracted, depending on the stage and severity of the case.
